     The Eight Mile Boulevard Association (8MBA) is a non-profit
     organization formed in 1993 by 13 communities and 3 counties,
     which share a common border in Eight Mile Road between I-94
     (east) and I-275 (west), to serve as a communicational link to
     create solutions among this famous street.

     8MBA works together with these communities, as well as Michigan
     Department of Transportation, businesses and local residents along
     Eight Mile Road to revitalize and promote the corridor as a place
     to work, live and conduct business.

     8MBA Mission is to revitalize and promote the Eight Mile
    transportation, business and residential corridor by linking
    the efforts of the public and private sectors.

                     8MBA Goals

    .  Bring businesses and communities
         together to achieve common
         goals.

   .   Preserve and revitalize residential
         neighborhoods and businesses
         along Eight Mile Road.
       ___________________
   .  Improve transportation systems
         including mass transit, vehicular
         and pedestrian traffic.
       ___________________
    .  Serve as a liaison between the
         existing/prospective businesses
         and local communities.
       ___________________
   .   Raise money for Eight Mile
         improvements through fundraising
         functions and 8MBA memberships.
       ___________________
   .  Inform existing and prospective
         businesses of available economic
         development programs.
